3.16 04/02/92

If the [G]oodbye menu was turned off, the Help option would not appear on
the main menu. This has been fixed.

Several changes were made in SETUP so SETUP could catch common sysop mistakes
when setting up the door. An error that would corrupt the TDMASTER.DAT when
the door first started has also been fixed (finally!).

The {C}hange your time left sysop option has been moved to Time Door from
TDSYSOP.EXE. When S is selected for the sysop menu, the sysop will have a
choice of either changing your time left or going to the sysop menu.  All
the time checking code has been stripped from TDSYSOP.EXE (along with the
command line) in the SysOp menu.

You can now edit the user's stored bytes and kilobytes in the user editor.
All options that could not be changed have been removed from the editor to
make the User editor less confusing.

      [phone]. The registration address has also been changed. These
      changes are reflected throughout the program and various document files.

3.15 02/26/92

Recompiled Time Door with QBSER version 2.1. This version adds support
for non-standard COM portsand fixes a sleeping node problem in multinode
environments like Desqview.  Several other minor changes were made with
the COMM routines. Please report any problems immediately.

If you have WCBASEID set, you must also have WCIRQID set. See TIMEDOOR.DOC
for more information about setting your environment variables.

I disabled the Loan feature that would loan 2 minutes to users who had run
out of time.  If I receive enough requests to keep the feature, I will
re-enable the feature possible as a SysOp configurable option.  It has
been brought to my attention that some users would use this option to
cheat the Time Raffle.

I also have written a small utility for Time Door called Time-Bulletin. This
program will create a bulletin listing all Time Door users with their balances
in alphabetical order. You can get this file at Crown Jewel BBS as
T-BULL10.ZIP.  Time-Bulletin is a free utility.

3.12 01/26/92

The [G]oodbye function would be available in the byte bank even when it
was turned off. This has been fixed.

The user's banked downloads and kilobytes are shown on the byte/download
screen.

This version fixes any bugs or concerns that have been brought to my
attention as of the release date.

3.11 01/13/92

Fixes bug with Byte Bank that would give new users the same byte and download
balance as the last user in the database.

3.1 01/04/92

This version adds the thing most asked for from Time Door - a Byte/Download
bank! Special thanks go to all those registered users who helped beta
test this version.

New features in the (REGISTERED) version include:

A Byte Bank that allows your users to store bytes and downloads for later
use.  Regulation of the Byte Bank is done on a profile basis allowing the
same control offered by the Time Bank.

A complete overhaul of the Prize function has been done.  Prizes were
limited to one of each type. Now time prizes are not limited as to
the maximum number per user.  Prizes can also now be deleted in the TDSYSOP
user editor.

A birthday gift option has been added. The birthday gift allows you to give
a gift of time to a user on  their birthday. When a user enters Time Door on
their birthday they will be given the extra time and wished a happy birthday.
You can set this option under the gambling section.  Remember to put a line
in your BIRTHDAY.BBS/SCR so your users will know to go into Time Door for their
gift.

Features added to both unregistered and registered version:

More versatile editing routines have been added to SETUP's profile editing
screen. You can now copy or delete security profiles in SETUP.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

Contest support for Poster has been added. Poster keeps track of your message
activity and awards your top posters with special time prizes. Poster also
creates three different bulletins designed to encourage your users to
post messages.  Look for POSTER10.ZIP on the BBS where you downloaded Time
Door or call Crown Jewel BBS at [phone].

Errors fixed...

Fixed the problem that would cause Time Door to offer the Gambling menu even
if it was turned off.

Fixed a problem that would cause the total Time Bank balance to be wrong.
Use the STATISTICS option in TDSYSOP to make sure that your totals are set
correctly. The STATISTICS option resets any totals that it finds to be wrong.

The time keeping routines have been completely redone. Earlier versions of
Time Door would have problems when the Time Left would get larger than 1000
minutes. That problem is fixed.

Fixed several minor visual errors in the transfer section.

Several other minor bug fixes and changes have been made.

3.01 10/01/91

Minor release. Conversion from BTIME was messed up. If you used BTIME
conversion, you must reset all overrides by using the Clear Overrides
option on the sysop menu (TDSYSOP).

Two new listing options have been added to the List users option in TDSYSOP.
They are

4) List users with overrides. This option lists all users who have overrides.
5) List users with prizes. This option lists users with Time Prizes and the
amount of those prizes. Remember, you can give prizes if you are not registered
but those prizes will only be awarded on registered systems.

Fixed a bug that would tell users that they had the wrong answer in Trivia
Challenge even when they had got the question right. The time would be awarded
correctly no matter what the user was told.  This made some sysops think that
users were getting time for incorrect answers and some users think that
they were incorrectly being penalized for correct answers. This one was a
tough bug to find...

3.00 07/30/91

This is the first release of Time Door for Wildcat! 3.0. Hopefully all the
bugs have been found in the beta test period but expect to see a Time Door
3.01 in the very near future.

New in this release...

o Support for Wildcat! 3.0. This version DOES NOT support Wildcat! 2.X.
o SETUP program completely rewritten with better help and mouse support.
o New security profiles that allow you to set limits for each Wildcat
  security profile if you wish.
o User overrides that give you the ability to set some limits on a user by
  user basis. This is great for rewarding good users or punishing bad.
  Both the security profiles and user overrides make Time Door 3.0 even
  better for pay systems where you want to entice users to register!
o Command line options have changed in order to allow for a single batch
  file for multinode systems (if a single node home directory is used).
o A STRUCTURE CHANGE HAS BEEN MADE IN THE TIME.DAT FILE. A CONVERSION TO
  THE TIME DOOR 3.0 FORMAT IS REQUIRED. PLEASE SEE THE FILE, UPGRADE.DOC FOR
  MORE INFORAMTION ON UPGRADING TO TIME DOOR 3.0.

Registered User Changes:
o The trivia editor has been rewritten to add mouse support and to change
  window routines. 2.X versions of the triva editor should not be used. The
  original versions of the trivia editor can still be used BUT you won't be
  able to add user supplied questions without the 3.0 version of the trivia
  editor. To get this file, call Crown Jewel BBS at 813-676-7549.
o Users can now add trivia questions to your database. The trivia editor is
  required to merge these questions.

2.41 12/19/90

Version 2.4 would slow down Lantastic to a crawl and lock up the system
for several minutes while doing so. The code causing this problem has
been removed...

2.4 12/16/90

Added FULL support for COM1-COM4 using the interrupt you specify in Makewild.
Time Door now works on systems running more than 2 nodes on a single
computer of if you are using weird interrupts.  A user can now deposit or
withdraw time from ANY menu.  The upload/download ratio was reversed (oops)
and is now fixed.  The bug that would give 1440 minutes to a user around
11:00 at night is now fixed (thanks Drew!).  About 30 minor changes have been
made it in this release. Most are not very noticeable but offer improvements.
The error handler will also now keep you from having any press any key to
continue errors.  The [G]oodbye function is  stressed more throughout
the door.  If a user makes a deposit, it will be credited towards their
maximum withdrawal for that day.

ATTN REGISTERED USERS!: The trivia editor has now been updated. If you wish
to get a copy of the new editor call Crown Jewel BBS [phone]. The
editor you have now is STILL compatible with the version 2.4 of Time Door so
an upgrade is not mandatory.  If you have the 2.0 version of the editor,
please get the 2.1 version available now. The 2.0 version should NOT be used.

2.3B 2.3C 2.3D - Minor Private Releases

2.3 10/22/90

This version fixes two bugs in 2.1. The first bug caused a TIME LIMIT EXCEEDED
message when you tried to use TIMEDOOR LOCAL. The second bug caused the
maintenance function to wait for a keypress when using the /M switch on
unregistered systems.  This bug was not done to cripple the door.

2.2 10/11/90

Two major changes. Time Door will now support systems that limit the
per call time of their users.  Previous versions of Time Door would give
the user all the time they had left for the day.  Time Door now supports
better flow control methods. Time Door will support XON/OFF or CTS handshaking.
The SysOp menu had a lot of trouble because of this. SEE GENERAL OPTIONS (1 on
the SETUP.EXE menu) to set both of these options.

Time Prizes - Time Door now allows registered users to send messages to those
users receiving prizes. This can be used instead of Time Door's built in
prize messages. See the information on Time Prizes for more information. The
file PRIZE60.BBS is an example.

The [G]oodbye function will now work on systems that are not registered.
Without this function, the door is really crippled. One of the better
features is being able to deposit time and log off. Hopefully including the
[G]oodbye function will help SysOps evaluate the door better.

Registration can now be done inside of SETUP.EXE by choosing option R.

Changed COM routines to allow for COM1: - COM4:. Added Hot Keys and Space Bar
Aborts. Screens will look right with Procomm. Added [G]oodbye function (reg-
istered version only) to allow for log off inside of door. Screen Writing
toggle added as a temporary solution to bleeding problem. Noticeable speed
improvements. Added the ability to cut gambling off for certain security
levels.  Added support for baud rates up to 111,520 (locking should no longer
be a problem).  Added the option of having two seperate BANK configurations for
systems with paid users or higher access users. Added a Sponser option for
systems where user sponsers are used to register doors (registered version
only.) Allowed sysop to set odds in Scratch-N-Win. Added word wrap to chat.
Added prize function where registered users can give prizes to users through
Time Door. Many other changes!
